This role will play a key part in supporting project and vessel operations, ensuring robust financial control, accurate forecasting, and compliance with tax and statutory reporting requirements. Working closely with operational teams and external advisors, you will provide financial insight and oversight across a range of ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and submitting VAT returns, liaising with external tax advisors and relevant authorities.
• Managing withholding tax filings and associated compliance requirements.
• Supporting revenue and cost forecasting activities across projects.
• Monitoring project costs and ensuring purchase orders align with approved budgets and project cost trackers.
• Working closely with vessel and project management teams to maintain accurate revenue and cost reporting.
• Responding to tax-related queries and coordinating with external advisors as required.
• Supporting accounts payable processes by reviewing vendor invoices and maintaining detailed records to support future tax audits.
• Managing unrecoverable VAT accruals.
• Preparing payroll-related financial inputs and providing general ledger support for payroll filings.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a project accounting, management accounting, or similar finance position, ideally within the energy, marine, or engineering sectors. You will be comfortable working with operational stakeholders, have strong analytical skills, and possess a solid understanding of tax compliance and financial reporting requirements.

You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and confident working both independently and as part of a wider team.
