Managing a portfolio of clients, you’ll be responsible for preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies and accounts for sole traders, alongside corporation tax computations, VAT returns and supporting schedules.

You’ll liaise directly with clients, resolve accounting and tax queries and ensure statutory filing deadlines are met. The role would suit someone with previous UK practice experience who is confident managing their own workload and client relationships. You’ll be organised, detail-focused and comfortable working independently within a fast-paced practice environment.

• Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies in line with relevant accounting standards.
• Preparing accounts for sole traders.
• Preparing corporation tax computations and CT600 returns.
• Reviewing bookkeeping records and preparing VAT returns.
• Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
• Liaising directly with clients regarding accounts, taxation and outstanding information.
• Reviewing financial records, investigating discrepancies and resolving queries.
• Preparing working papers and supporting schedules for year-end accounts.
• Supporting junior team members and reviewing their work where appropriate.
• Ensuring relevant HMRC and Companies House filing requirements are met.
• Assisting with general accounting and taxation queries as required.
