Accounts & Administration Assistant - VR/31846
A well-established local organisation is seeking an Accounts & Administration Assistant to support day-to-day financial and administrative operations. This is a broad, hands-on role within a supportive team and would suit someone looking to work either 4 or 5 days per week.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Inputting monthly invoices onto the accounting software.
- Ensuring monthly wages are paid in a timely manner.
- Supporting with bank reconciliation on a weekly basis.
- Handling the invoicing process, ensuring accurate issuing and receipt of all invoices.
- Managing VAT returns and annual Corporation Tax payments.
- Ensuring strong relationships are built with suppliers and customers to ensure effective payment processes.
- Supporting the wider team with monthly and annual accounting processes, providing all required information to the Accountants.
- Undertaking additional administrative and finance duties as required to support smooth operations.
Applicants to this role require
- Previous experience in a similar accounting and administrative support role.
- Ability to pick up new systems when required.
- Ability to work collaboratively within the team, whilst being able to work efficiently on own initiative.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to develop strong working relationships.
