Accounts Payable Assistant, Various Locations - VR/31976
TMM Recruitment is currently supporting several Accounts Payable Assistant vacancies across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, with temporary and permanent opportunities available. As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will support the team with processing invoices, payment runs and maintaining strong supplier relationships. These roles are ideal for someone with previous experience in a similar role, looking to apply these skills to a new challenge.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Investigating and resolving invoice-related queries in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with internal departments to streamline accounts payable processes.
- Monitoring the finance system to track invoice approvals and payment progress.
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies.
- Preparing and assisting with weekly/monthly payment runs.
- Assisting with the preparation and completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with external suppliers.
Applicants to this role require
- Previous experience in a similar Accounts Payable processing role.
- Proficiency with accounting packages and ERP systems.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail, whilst ensuring tasks are completed in adherence with deadlines.
