Join a well-established and growing organisation in a varied Accounts & Finance Supervisor role supporting the day-to-day management of finance operations. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will oversee sales and purchase ledger activities, credit control, reconciliations, supplier payments and month-end processes, ensuring accuracy across all financial records. This hands-on position requires strong Xero experience as an essential, excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain efficient financial controls. Working closely with operational teams, you will help resolve customer and supplier queries, support management reporting and contribute to continuous process improvements within a busy and collaborative finance environment.

    

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of sales ledger, purchase ledger and general finance administration activities.
  • Process customer invoices, supplier invoices, expenses and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate financial records within Xero, ensuring all transactions are correctly coded and documented.
  • Perform bank, credit card and control account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies where required.
  • Manage credit control activities, monitor outstanding balances and support timely debt collection.
  • Prepare and process supplier payment runs while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
  • Assist with the preparation of management reports, cash flow information and supporting financial analysis.
  • Produce ledger reports and financial information to support business decision-making.
  • Respond professionally to finance-related queries from customers, suppliers and internal departments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures while maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure accurate financial administration and smooth operational support.
