*EXCLUSIVE* Aftersales Manager required on a permanent basis with a family owned manufacturing business in Fraserburgh. This is a brand new position to the company, with the primary responsibility for leading on the planning and implementation of a new aftersales system. Previous experience in a similar working environment (e.g. a bodyshop or vehicle/trailer manufacturer or repair company) would be beneficial.

Working for a leading designer and manufacturer of commercial vehicle bodywork, you will be primarily responsible for leading on the planning and implementation of a new aftersales system /application that will ensure consistency in pricing and timescales for aftersales activities across all locations.

 

You will be required to:

  • Fully familiarise yourself with the company’s way of working, their service offering and also gain a broad understanding of current aftermarket processes.
  • Liaise with regional colleagues to develop a detailed understanding of pricing structures and labour time; ultimately creating a standardised approach to estimations and customer quotations across all sites.
  • Engage with technical colleagues to pull together a database of vehicle parts that will feature most often in aftersales support, repairs and refurbishment.
  • Liaise with the software provider to implement the new system then implement across the company’s sites.

 

The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives under the responsibility and challenge of overseeing a project like this form early stages and research through to final implementation.  You should have strong IT skills and excellent communication skills, comfortable in speaking to colleagues and asking questions to gain a good understanding of existing processes and identify areas for improvement.

 

Previous experience in a similar working environment (e.g. a bodyshop or vehicle/trailer manufacturer or repair company) would be beneficial, but is no means essential.  Instead, it is most important that you are an organised, customer-focused individual, capable of driving forward positive technological change.
