AP/AR Accountant - VR/31742

Excellent opportunity for a skilled AP/AR Accountant to join a growing company based in the North of Aberdeenshire on a maternity cover contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong, proven experience in a similar position and the confidence to support the Finance Team across a wide range of accounting responsibilities.

     

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks such as managing invoices, payments, credit control, and treasury processes.
  • Carrying out regular reconciliations of bank statements and financial ledgers.
  • Ensuring accurate maintenance of financial records and documentation.
  • Providing necessary documentation to support audit procedures.
  • Upholding compliance with internal control procedures and recognised accounting standards.
  • Communicating with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve and process financial transactions.

      

Applicants to this role require

  • Relevant industry experience in similar role.
  • Previous experience using Sage 200 and EFACS preferred, but not essential.
  • Ability to work to own initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills, ensuring tasks are complete to deadlines whilst ensuring accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
