This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, alongside leading a small team and driving process improvements across the function.

Key Responsibilities include:

Accounts Receivable:

• Overseeing cash application and collections processes.
• Ensuring timely follow-up of overdue balances, working closely with operational teams.
• Managing customer queries and resolving disputes efficiently.
• Reviewing AR ageing and ensuring accurate, up-to-date commentary.
• Identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency.

Accounts Payable:

• Supervising invoice processing, approvals, and vendor reconciliations.
• Ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and employee expenses.
• Reviewing payment runs (including BACS, wires and credit cards).
• Maintaining strong supplier relationships and resolving discrepancies.
• Monitoring AP ageing and reporting on DPO.
• Supporting process improvements and automation initiatives.

Team Leadership & Wider Responsibilities:

• Leading, mentoring and developing a small AR/AP Team.
• Managing workloads and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
• Acting as an escalation point for complex queries.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders across the business.
• Contributing to short-term cash flow forecasting.

About You:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience across AR/AP, with supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end AR/AP processes and controls.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables and lookups).
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business.
