AR/AP Assistant - VR/32256

Excellent opportunity for a skilled AR/AP Assistant to join a growing company based in the North of Aberdeen on a maternity cover basis. This role would suit someone with solid, hands-on experience in a similar position, who is confident supporting a finance team across a broad range of accounting duties.

     

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Managing daily bookkeeping activities, including invoices, payments, credit control, and treasury functions.
  • Performing regular reconciliations across bank accounts and financial ledgers.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Preparing and providing documentation required for audit processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and established accounting standards.
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to manage and resolve financial transactions.

      

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a relevant industry.
  • Experience with Sage 200 is advantageous, though not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
