The Opportunity

Working as part of the Asset Accounting team, you will support a portfolio of operated and non-operated assets, delivering accurate financial reporting and helping to drive effective cost management across the business. You will work closely with budget holders and operational teams, providing meaningful financial insight and ensuring robust financial governance throughout the asset lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of monthly joint venture accounting activities across allocated assets, including cost reporting and forecasting.
• Assist with month-end reporting requirements, preparing financial information and analysis for internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and corporate planning processes.
• Process joint venture billings and ensure compliance with relevant operating agreements.
• Support budget holders through effective cost control and financial reporting processes.
• Attend joint venture and finance committee meetings as required.
• Assist with AFE administration, maintaining records and ensuring compliance with internal approval processes.
• Provide wider finance and business support across the asset portfolio.

About You

• Previous joint venture accounting experience within an E&P or wider energy business.
• Experience supporting operated and/or non-operated assets.
• Knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships across finance and operational teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ICAS), or equivalent relevant accounting experience.
