You’ll also support audit activity, stock accounting and wider finance tasks. The role would suit a motivated individual keen to develop their accounting career within a fast-paced environment. Applicants should hold a minimum HND in Accounts, Finance or similar, with strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach.

• Ensure general ledger transactions are accurate and correctly recorded.
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments.
• Complete and analyse monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including depreciation and capital expenditure reporting.
• Prepare profit and loss reconciliations and support month-end accounting activities.
• Review costs against budgets and forecasts, investigating and explaining variances.
• Assist with KPI and wider financial reporting.
• Support annual budgeting and year-end reporting processes.
• Assist with the annual audit and provide supporting financial information.
• Participate in stock counts, process adjustments and investigate discrepancies.
• Provide purchase ledger support and cover when required.
• Ensure adherence to internal financial processes, controls and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and ways of working.
• Provide general support across the wider finance team as required.
