Billing Analyst - VR/31941

An established Engineering-services company is seeking a skilled Billing Analyst to support the team on an initial 2-month temporary contract. In this role, you will take responsibility for timely invoicing across the company, resolving queries, analysing data and improving processes. This role provides hand on exposure to billings processes, and would suit an individual with experience in a similar role.

    

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Supporting the wider finance team with the accurate and timely preparation of monthly sales invoices.
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of project invoicing, ensuring all data is complete and accurate.
  • Updating relevant systems to reflect the status of outstanding billings and invoices.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues and customers, resolving queries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within the billing process, embracing new systems, technologies and ways of working.
  • Supporting the preparation of ad hoc reports and responding to internal and external audit requests.

         

Applicants to this role require

  • Previous experience in a similar role within billing, collections or a related finance function.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and use initiative when required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant accounting software.
