This is a long-term PAYE opportunity with a global engineering and construction organisation operating across the energy sector, supporting their subsea operations. The role will focus on ROV activity, working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and vendors. This opportunity is well suited to candidates with early-career experience in buying or procurement.

   

As part of the procurement team, the Buyer will manage purchase orders while working closely with other buyers and reporting to the Procurement Manager.

          

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting internal stakeholders and external vendors throughout the entire tender process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures.
  • Preparing commercial and economic bid tabulations to compare proposals and support negotiations to achieve the best commercial outcome.
  • Drafting and managing purchase orders, service contracts and agreements, including handling deviations, revisions and extensions.
  • Closing out tender exercises by securing vendor confirmations, arranging handover meetings with internal agreement owners/user departments, and ensuring proper document handover and electronic archiving.
  • Managing and verifying technical documentation received with purchase requisitions and technical evaluations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company standards.

          

What are the client looking for?

This role is well suited to someone with early career buying experience, ideally within oil & gas, subsea, ROV or robotics environments. Candidates should have a good understanding of procurement and supply chain processes, working knowledge of supplier management and cycle accounting, and a broad understanding of commercial and contractual terms.

             

The role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
