Calibration Technician (Mechanical Equipment) - VR/31906

We are currently on the lookout for a Calibration Technician on a permanent / staff basis to join an exciting company with good progression opportunities. The candidate should ideally be trained on mechanical equipment - chart recorders, test gauges, pressure relief valves etc.

   

Duties include but may not be limited to the following:

  • To work within a team to ensure that client owned and internal Test and Measurement equipment is effectively managed on a day-to-day basis within the Calibration Laboratory and workshop areas.
  • Ensuring all mechanical, electrical, temperature and gas test equipment are appropriately calibrated and are easily identifiable and suitably labelled.
  • Undertaking fault finding techniques using recognised measurement principles and techniques on equipment as and when required.
  • Preparing and writing calibration procedures for existing and new instruments to conform to the manufacturers published specification.
  • Producing calibration certificates and / or certificates of Test that document the calibration results.
  • Undertaking the calibration of new products as appropriate.
  • Planning and managing all calibrations using calibration software ensuring internal and client expectations are achieved.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the ProCal Track Laboratory Management Software Assist all Departments within the organisation to achieve critical targets by having a flexible approach to tasks.
  • Updating and maintaining documentation.
  • Assisting the Operations Director in ensuring the competence of all who operate specific equipment, perform tests and/or calibrations, evaluate results and sign test reports and calibration certificates.
  • Responsible for ensuring that appropriate test and/or calibration methods are in place and meet the needs of the client, internal procedures and any other interested parties.
  • Promoting the awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation.
  • Ensuring that an appropriate safe and efficient service is provided to all our clients.
  • Checking and maintaining standards of performance and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental issues in line with company policies and procedures.
