Our client is currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join their growing team on a permanent staff basis. Due to continued investment and expansion, including the introduction of new machinery, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist looking to join a stable and forward-thinking engineering business.

     

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient running of CNC machinery while delivering high-quality components to exact client specifications. Working within a close-knit team, the focus will be on achieving right-first-time manufacturing and maintaining on-time delivery performance.

     

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Programming, setting and operating CNC machines including Integrex machines, mills and lathes.
  • Producing precision-machined components to extremely tight tolerances.
  • Reading and writing ISO (G-code) programs and utilising conversational programming software.
  • Selecting tooling and planning machining operations effectively.
  • Carrying out inspection activities using precision measuring equipment.
  • Troubleshooting machining and production issues when required.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
  • Supporting delivery targets through effective planning and time management.
  • Assisting with training and mentoring within the workshop environment.
  • Maintaining compliance with all QHSE procedures and standards.

      

Applicants to this role require:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a CNC Machinist position.
  • Strong machining background with experience programming CNC machinery.
  • Experience with Integrex machinery, CNC mills and lathes preferred.
  • Ability to read and write ISO (G-code) programs.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong inspection and measurement experience.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High awareness of quality, health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
