This role focuses on the evaluation and delivery of strategic growth opportunities across an established energy infrastructure portfolio, supporting investment decisions, asset strategy development and long-term business planning. Working closely with senior commercial, operational and technical stakeholders, the position combines commercial evaluation, business development and external engagement activities to support future growth across both existing infrastructure and emerging energy opportunities.

    

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support the delivery of strategic growth opportunities across the energy infrastructure portfolio.
  • Lead or support the evaluation of business development opportunities across existing infrastructure and emerging energy markets.
  • Maintain and develop a portfolio of growth opportunities, ensuring projects are progressed in line with agreed processes.
  • Support the development and review of strategic frameworks, asset strategies, customer strategies and engagement plans.
  • Contribute to the preparation and ongoing development of business plans.
  • Work closely with commercial, operational, technical and business planning teams to evaluate and deliver opportunities.
  • Support shareholder engagement activities relating to strategic growth initiatives.
  • Represent the business externally across the wider energy industry and with relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve asset performance, efficiency, capacity and long-term value.
  • Support the transition of successful opportunities into implementation and operational delivery.
  • Deputise for senior commercial and strategy leadership where required.
  • Provide additional strategic and commercial support across the business as required.

              

About You:

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial, business development or strategy role within an upstream or midstream operating environment.
  • Strong track record of evaluating and delivering complex commercial opportunities.
  • Experience leading negotiations and managing multi-functional teams.
  • Excellent understanding of commercial agreements and commercial evaluation processes.
  • Established industry network, with an understanding of the wider UK energy landscape and regulatory environment.
  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional qualification within a technical or commercial discipline.
  • Experience supporting long-term business planning and asset strategy development would be advantageous.
