Contracts Analyst - VR/32454
This role focuses on the delivery of contracting activities across a North Sea operator environment, providing commercial and contractual support throughout the full contract lifecycle.
Covering strategy development, tendering, negotiation and post-award contract management, the position works closely with operational stakeholders to support critical offshore activities. There are two positions available within the team, with one supporting Subsea Operations and the other focused on Operations & Maintenance and Fabric Maintenance. Both are offered on an initial 12-month contract basis, with hybrid working on a 4:1 basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the development and delivery of contracting strategies across operational activities.
- Undertaking formal contracting activities, including demand assessment, pre-qualification, tender list development and contract strategy preparation.
- Preparing, issuing and managing Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages, including tender analysis and commercial evaluations.
- Negotiating contract terms and prepare contractual documentation and contract management plans.
- Administer contracts post-award, including amendments, variations and dispute management.
- Providing commercial and contractual advice, including support on business and contractual risk.
- Working with contract owners and operational stakeholders to monitor contractor and supplier performance.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and the sharing of contracting best practice across the business.
- Ensuring contracting activities are delivered in accordance with internal procedures, governance requirements and business controls.
- Participating in contract review activities and support key contracting strategies.
- Maintaining and developing personal technical and commercial knowledge.
About You:
- Experience within a contracts or procurement role in the oil and gas sector.
- Operator experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Good understanding of oil and gas supply chain principles and LOGIC-based contracts.
- Strong commercial awareness, with experience of contractual cost analysis and risk allocation.
- Well-developed negotiation, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience of post-award contract management and contract administration.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience using systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of procurement legislation and supply chain compliance requirements.
