Contracts Engineer - VR/31959

A 12-month fixed-term opportunity for a Contracts Engineer to support tendering, contracts and commercial activity within an offshore services setting. The role bridges commercial and operational teams, contributing to bid preparation, contract administration and in-project commercial support across a varied project portfolio.

     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and collating budget proposals and tender submissions, including subcontractor and supplier input where required.
  • Producing detailed and accurate tender price estimates in line with internal management systems.
  • Maintaining clarification registers for tenders and working with technical stakeholders to support achievable technical solutions.
  • Preparing commercial, contractual and technical deliverables for inclusion in client tender submissions.
  • Drafting and negotiating call-off contracts against existing framework agreements.
  • Supporting the handover process from Commercial to Operations, including review of tender risks and contractual documentation.
  • Providing ongoing commercial support to project teams, working with project management to identify efficiencies and margin improvement opportunities.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of monthly project invoicing.
  • Maintaining commercial systems and databases, including CRM.
  • Working with supply chain colleagues to support supplier management and the review of strategic partnerships.
  • Operating in accordance with company HSEQ policies, procedures and management systems.

         

About you:

  • Experience in a contracts, commercial or tendering role supporting bid preparation, contract administration and project delivery activity.
  • Strong numerical and analytical capability, with experience preparing cost estimates and commercial documentation.
  • Comfortable supporting both tendering activity and live project commercial issues.
  • Confident working across functions, engaging with commercial, technical, operational and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage workload and priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Degree-level education preferred, with strong general IT and Microsoft Office capability.
