Contracts Specialist (IT/IS) - VR/32351

This role focuses on procurement and contracting activities across the IT/IS category within a North Sea operator environment, covering sourcing, tendering, negotiation and supplier management across a range of technology-related contracts and supplier arrangements. Working closely with operational, technical and corporate stakeholders, the position supports continuity of service and transition planning during a major business transition programme. This is a 12-month PAYE contract.

   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support procurement activities across the IT/IS category, including sourcing, tendering, negotiation and contract award.
  • Support transition activities relating to existing contracts and suppliers, including novation, exit and re-tender strategies.
  • Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business and transition requirements.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and support sourcing approaches.
  • Manage supplier relationships to support performance, value delivery and risk mitigation.
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including MSAs, SLAs and transitional arrangements where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement governance, policies and audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and value improvement while maintaining continuity of service.
  • Support management of complex supplier arrangements and contractual obligations.
  • Contribute to transition planning and support delivery of key transition milestones.

             

About You:

  • Proven experience within a contracts and procurement role, ideally supporting IT/IS or technology-related categories.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software and services procurement.
  • Experience supporting transitions, mergers, separations or joint venture activities is advantageous.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and supplier arrangements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Good understanding of procurement governance, compliance and risk management principles.
  • Degree qualified, CIPS qualified and/or able to demonstrate substantial relevant experience.
