Data Management Support role focused on achieving regulatory compliance through accurate reporting of well data to the National Data Repository (NDR). You’ll analyse data gaps against PON9 requirements, prepare and digitalise well information, manage third-party data release checks, and support the submission of compliant well records to the NSTA.

    

Overview job description

This role supports a targeted regulatory reporting programme, ensuring well data is compliant with NSTA requirements and accurately reported to the National Data Repository (NDR). Working closely with the Subsurface Data Manager, you’ll carry out structured data gap analysis, prepare well information for submission, and support the governance and release of subsurface data.

               

Main duties and responsibilities

               

Data gap analysis & compliance

  • Perform detailed gap analysis between NDR requirements and existing well documentation.
  • Validate well data held across multiple sources, including digital repositories, network drives, and hard?copy archives.
  • Identify unreported, missing, or non?compliant data items in scope of PON9 obligations.

              

Data preparation & reporting

  • Coordinate the digitalisation of legacy well information via third?party service providers.
  • Reformat and prepare data to meet NDR “form and manner” submission standards.
  • Support the accurate upload and reporting of well information into the NDR platform.
  • Track reporting status and support progress toward full regulatory compliance.

                

Governance, quality & release

  • Review data prior to submission for GDPR considerations and third?party release constraints.
  • Apply attention to detail to ensure accuracy, consistency, and auditability of submitted records.
  • Work independently and proactively to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet reporting deadlines.

           

Applicants to this role require

  • Familiarity with subsurface well data and associated documentation types.
  • Practical experience with NDR reporting functionality and submission workflows.
  • Strong understanding of NDR “form and manner” requirements.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data handling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat for data review, tracking, and preparation.
