Fabricator / Plater to Workshop QC - VR/32705
Are you a time served Fabricator or Plater looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Aberdeenshire, is seeking an experienced Fabricator / Plater to join their Quality Control team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong fabrication background who enjoys the technical aspects of manufacturing and is keen to move into a quality-focused role.
Working closely with the QC and production teams, you will play a key role in ensuring fabricated components and assemblies meet required specifications, standards and customer expectations.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Carry out dimensional inspections of fabricated components and assemblies.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Identify, document and report non-conformances.
- Support quality inspections throughout the production process.
- Liaise with fabrication and production teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Assist with inspection records and quality documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality function.
Applicants to this role require
- Time served Fabricator or Plater.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of fabrication tolerances and quality standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Previous quality inspection or QC experience would be advantageous, although full training can be provided for the right candidate.
