A leading engineering solutions provider operating across the offshore energy, marine and industrial sectors is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Coded Fabricator/Welder to support the successful delivery of fabrication projects within its growing fabrication division. The Fabricator / Welder will play a key role in the fabrication of containerised and skid-based structures, ensuring all welding activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will also contribute to the ongoing development and capability of the fabrication function, promoting best practice and a strong health and safety culture.

          

Overview job description

  • Carrying out coded MIG welding in 2G and 3G positions using solid and flux-cored wire.
  • Fabricating and welding DNV 2.7-1 and DNV 2.7-3 compliant containers and skids.
  • Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, WPSs and technical documentation.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with company procedures, quality standards and HSE requirements.
  • Carrying out self-inspection and support QA/QC activities as required.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement within the fabrication workshop.
  • Acting as a positive role model for safe working practices and quality workmanship.

         

Applicants to this role require

  • Current or recent coded MIG welding certification (2G and 3G).
  • Proven experience fabricating and welding DNV-certified offshore structures.
  • Strong understanding of welding standards, tolerances and inspection requirements.
  • Ability to work accurately from engineering drawings.
  • A technical mindset with good problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and quality.
