Finance Manager - VR/32906
A varied finance leadership opportunity within a well-established group operating across multiple business units. The successful candidate will oversee management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and audit activities, while leading a dedicated finance team and supporting ongoing systems and process improvements. Ideal for an individual who enjoys partnering with operational management and contributing to business-wide decision-making.
Main Duties:
- Lead, coach and develop the Finance & Administration team.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and ensure all supporting reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
- Produce and present weekly operational and financial performance reports to senior management.
- Manage the annual budgeting process and prepare regular forecasts to support business planning.
- Support statutory accounting requirements and coordinate year-end audit activities.
- Drive improvements in finance systems, processes and internal controls in line with wider group objectives.
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support key operational and commercial decisions.
- Build strong working relationships with senior managers across the organisation to understand challenges, opportunities and priorities.
- Develop an understanding of payroll processes and provide contingency support when required.
- Contribute to business improvement projects and other ad-hoc initiatives as required.
Applicants Require:
- Previous experience within a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar senior finance position.
- Strong management accounting skills, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Experience leading, developing and motivating finance teams.
- Confidence partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining strong financial controls and governance processes.
- Strong systems aptitude, with experience improving finance processes and implementing efficiencies highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
- Proactive and commercially minded approach, combined with strong attention to detail.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent) would be advantageous.
