An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance System Implementation Consultant to join a collaborative team, taking ownership of the successful delivery of software implementation projects from initial discovery through to go-live and ongoing support. This is a varied, customer-facing role where you will combine solution design, system configuration, training and advisory support, ensuring each implementation is tailored to business requirements while promoting best practice throughout the process. To succeed in this role, you should have extensive experience within accountancy and finance, in addition to experience working with finance software implementations.

     

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support software implementation projects from requirements gathering through to go-live and ongoing support.
  • Analyse and document customer requirements, configuring solutions to meet agreed business needs and recognised best practice.
  • Manage solution configuration, supporting data migration activities where required.
  • Develop and deliver test plans, guiding customers through system testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Deliver user training and provide ongoing guidance to support successful system adoption.
  • Produce or support the development of reports to meet operational and reporting requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact throughout implementation, providing expert advice, resolving issues and building strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise system usage following implementation, proactively resolving issues and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure projects are delivered successfully and to a consistently high standard.

      

About You:

  • A strong foundation in accounting and finance, with a sound understanding of core financial processes including month-end, VAT and financial reporting.
  • Previous experience working with SaaS, accounting or other business software solutions.
  • Able to interpret customer requirements and translate them into practical, effective system solutions, even where requirements are evolving or not fully defined.
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships and engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple priorities while delivering an excellent customer experience.
