Main duties and responsibilities

• Preparing year-end statutory financial statements.
• Assisting with preparation of group consolidated accounts.
• Ensuring timely compliance with Companies House and HMRC filing deadlines.
• Assisting with implementation of new statutory accounting software.
• Supporting annual audits including liaising with external auditors and addressing queries.
• Coordinating with tax advisers.
• Ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts.
• Maintaining the groups fixed asset register and preform depreciation calculations.
• Accounting for the groups decommissioning provision.
• Inventory accounting (hydrocarbon and stock).
• Supporting cost tracking and allocation of capital and abandonment expenditures.
• Assist with JV accounting, partner reporting, and licensing authority obligations.
