Overview Job Description:

This is a senior finance role that will report directly to the Finance Director and will play a key part in supporting the wider business through effective financial management, reporting, and control.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Develop and maintain robust financial controls and compliance procedures.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
• Analyse financial performance and provide insightful commentary to management.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Coordinate external audit requirements and liaise with professional advisors.
• Partner with operational teams to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal policies.

Applicants to this role require:

• Previous experience in a similar senior finance position.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA, ACA or equivalent) preferred, although qualified by experience candidates will also be considered.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting expertise.
• Strong systems and Excel skills, with experience using ERP or finance systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently whilst effectively managing competing priorities.
• High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and professional integrity.
