Fundraising Officer - VR/32799

Permanent, full-time Fundraising Officer role with a small, purpose-led charity based in Aberdeen. You will support individual fundraisers, coordinate events and build positive supporter relationships, helping fundraising activity make a meaningful difference to people and families across the North-east of Scotland.

     

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Respond to supporter enquiries by phone, email and in person, providing a professional and friendly service. 
  • Support individual fundraisers from initial sign-up through to completion, arranging materials, social media promotion and regular engagement. 
  • Provide timely, personalised recognition of fundraising activity to help strengthen long-term supporter relationships. 
  • Assist with fundraising appeals, campaigns and milestone activity across the annual programme. 
  • Take ownership of selected challenge events, coordinating registrations, communications, fundraising support and event-day activity. 
  • Support the wider events calendar, including flagship, community, sporting and seasonal fundraising events. 
  • Provide practical support at events, including occasional evening and weekend attendance, and complete post-event follow-up. 
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, undertake data entry and cleansing, and produce information to support fundraising reporting and insight. 
  • Process donations and assist with routine financial administration, including event income reconciliation. 
  • Keep records and documentation organised within SharePoint, supporting GDPR, audit and reporting requirements. 

      

Applicants to this role require:

  • Previous experience within customer service, fundraising, events, administration or stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage several priorities accurately in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a warm, professional approach to supporters and colleagues. 
  • Confidence using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word, alongside basic digital content and professional social media skills. 
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the reliability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team. 
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience using a CRM or donor database, and previous exposure to a charity or fundraising environment, would be advantageous.
