Group Statutory & Tax Accountant - VR/32736

Opportunity for a qualified Accountant to join a well-established international group in this newly created role. You will be supporting statutory reporting, financial audit delivery and UK/international tax compliance. Ideal for someone with strong IFRS knowledge, accounts production experience and a keen interest in technical accounting and tax. Hybrid working and excellent development opportunities available.

     

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of Group consolidated financial statements and UK statutory accounts.
  • Coordinate year-end audit activities, liaising with external auditors and managing audit deliverables.
  • Assist overseas finance teams with local statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Support UK and international tax compliance, including corporation tax, tax reporting and cash tax management.
  • Maintain tax governance processes, compliance tracking and transfer pricing documentation.
  • Provide technical accounting support, monitor regulatory developments and contribute to ad hoc statutory reporting projects across the Group.

      

Applicants to this role require:

  • ACA/ICAS/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent.
  • Experience of Financial Audits, Accounts Production and UK tax compliance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards and awareness of emerging developments and future changes.
  • Proficient in Excel & Word.
  • A technically minded qualified Accountant.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to plan, prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • Highly numerate and literate with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate across an international business.
  • Experience with Accounts Production Software is preferred.
  • Preparation of UK tax computations or related tax experience would be desirable.
