Hydrocarbon Accountant - VR/31866

Status: Temp/Contract

We are looking for an experienced Hydrocarbon Accountant to join a high-performing team on a short-term, 2-month contract. This is a high-priority role, and we need someone who is immediately available Hybrid working is offered, with the option of full-time or part-time hours (minimum 3 days per week).

   

Role Purpose:
Provide hydrocarbon accounting services for operated and non-operated assets, ensuring production data is accurately reported and allocations processed on time to meet commercial, internal, and regulatory obligations.

           

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing data entry for hydrocarbon allocations in the Harbour Energy Hydrocarbon Management System (HMS).
  • Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production statements and allocations.
  • Verifying volumes on transportation and processing tariff invoices, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Identifying and supporting resolution of routine data issues.
  • Supporting scheduling of FPS shipping programmes and monitor non-operated asset availabilities.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate hydrocarbon data reporting.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Higher-level education in a relevant field or equivalent hydrocarbon accounting experience.
  • Experience with production data and allocation systems; strong understanding of commercial requirements.
  • Strong analytical, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems.
  • Basic understanding of metering systems and allocation principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team player.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
