Currently recruiting for an experienced Integrity Lead - Structures & Pipelines on a contract basis for an E&P company based in central Aberdeen. It is an ongoing long-term contract position, and the company are only considering PAYE contractors for this particular role.

     

The Integrity Lead – Structures & Pipelines will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers, overseeing the integrity of offshore oil and gas assets.  Acting as a Technical Advisor for assigned Asset Engineers, they will manage program delivery, budget, and KPIs. The role involves planning and executing strategic integrity programs, managing anomalies and deferrals, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations. The Integrity Lead also maintains asset registers, tracks costs, and contributes to integrity management reviews - ultimately ensuring effective communication and program delivery to all stakeholders.

            

Reporting to the Asset Integrity Manager, the Integrity Lead will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Leading a multi-disciplinary integrity team of Engineers specialising in pipeline and structural integrity.
  • Acting as the focal point for assigned Integrity Engineer, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Managing team backlog, prioritising tasks and ensuring efficient delivery of the annual integrity program.
  • Developing and leading the team in providing support and guidance to ensure the Integrity Program is delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Overseeing planning and delivery of the strategic integrity programs, ensuring they adhere to budget and WMS Maximo.
  • Developing future years asset integrity budget for all integrity-related activities.
  • Developing and issuing asset performance KPIs to monitor program effectiveness.
  • Managing and evaluating integrity anomalies, identifying issues and recommending solutions.
  • Managing integrity deferrals according to corporate work order procedures, ensuring they meet the highest standards.  
  • Supporting the implementation and compliance with integrity KPIs (leading and lagging) to drive positive actions.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete asset registers of static equipment systems, anomalies, threats, and key integrity risks.
  • Ensuring effective in-year cost tracking and reporting for the integrity program.
  • Participating in, and contributing to, the regular review of integrity management information, such as asset RBI schemes and integrity KPIs.
  • Providing timely support and management of assigned Synergi and PLMS actions.
  • Acting as Technical Contract Owner delegate for relevant integrity contracts.
  • Undertaking periodic site visits to assess asset condition and confirm program effectiveness.
  • Ensuring all matters relating to operational integrity delivery, performance management, reporting and communication, are delivered effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Following quality plan and leading the identification and implementation of suitable quality controls.
  • Arranging and tracking the completion of quality activities such as audits, inspections and NCRs.
  • Providing feedback on any quality lessons for future work.
  • Engaging with key vendors/suppliers to assess how they are managing quality on UKBU’s behalf.

            

Experience/Qualifications:

  • A degree qualification in a relevant engineering discipline is essential.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status would be preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, directly within the North Sea oil and gas industry, is essential.
  • Extensive experience within the offshore oil and gas industry – managing the integrity of static equipment systems, pipelines and structures is essential.
  • Experience of performing fitness-for-service assessments, and applying the relevant FFP codes, is essential.
  • A strong understanding of structural and pipelines codes is essential.
  • Applicants should be proficient in identifying and addressing in-service inspection damage mechanisms, their design repair solutions, and in adhering to industry regulations (Safety Case, PFEER, ACoP, PSR, PSSR).
