An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Change Manager to join a growing energy organisation on a 12-month contract basis. This strategic role will lead technology change, acquisition integration and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring systems, processes and people are successfully aligned to support business growth and long-term operational success.

    

Our client, a well-established organisation within the energy sector, is seeking an experienced IT Change Manager to lead technology change and integration initiatives across the business.

           

Working within the IT, Digital & Data function, you will play a pivotal role in supporting acquisitions, business transformation and continual improvement programmes. Acting as a trusted technology partner throughout the change lifecycle, you will provide valuable insight during due diligence activities, identify risks and opportunities, and develop effective integration strategies that deliver long-term value.

        

Beyond acquisition activity, you will help drive improvements across the technology landscape by enhancing processes, optimising systems and supporting the development of future-focused technology roadmaps.

       

This is a highly visible role that requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, enabling you to influence colleagues, suppliers and leadership teams while successfully delivering complex change initiatives across the organisation.

       

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Lead technology due diligence, integration and change activities associated with acquisitions and business growth initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on technology risks, opportunities and integration strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement programmes that enhance operational efficiency, service delivery and business effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and influence stakeholders across multiple departments, including IT, Finance, HR, Legal and Operations.
  • Champion structured change management practices to ensure successful adoption of new technologies, systems and processes.
  • Build and manage effective relationships with suppliers and technology partners to drive high-quality outcomes and value.

               

Applicants to this role require

  • Proven experience leading IT change, transformation, integration or business improvement programmes.
  • Strong programme and project management capability, supported by recognised qualifications and/or relevant practical experience.
  • Experience applying change management methodologies to deliver successful organisational and technology change.
  • Knowledge of IT service management best practices and technology roadmap or application portfolio management.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Experience working with senior leadership teams and cross-functional business stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Experience within the energy sector or another regulated, asset-intensive industry would be advantageous.
