The Role:

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial information to support decision-making, performance tracking, and statutory and Group reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts with insightful commentary.
• Producing accurate financial reporting to meet strict deadlines.
• Preparing quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
• Maintaining general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Managing cash flow, including forecasting and monitoring.
• Preparing VAT returns and supporting tax reporting.
• Reconciling intercompany balances and fixed assets.
• Supporting capital expenditure processes and business case preparation.
• Preparing statutory accounts in line with reporting standards.
• Analysing financial performance, trends, and variances to provide actionable insights.
• Producing costing, margin, and labour analysis.
• Overseeing inventory accounting and stock controls.
• Driving continuous improvement across processes, systems, and controls.
• Supporting wider finance activities, including month-end.

About You:

• Qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE.
• Experience operating in a high-compliance environment.
• Strong analytical skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and control.
• Confident communicator, comfortable working across the business.
