Management Accountant - VR/32480
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established international business based in Westhill. This permanent, office-based role offers responsibility for producing management accounts, financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting support, VAT reporting and business performance insights. Working closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and driving process improvements. This position would suit a proactive finance professional with strong analytical skills, experience within a fast-paced environment, and a desire to contribute to the continued success of a growing organisation.
Reporting to the Controller, your role will involve:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Produce financial reports, analysis and performance commentary for management.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Monitor costs, expenditure and financial performance against budgets.
- Analyse financial variances and provide meaningful business insights.
- Review income and expenditure coding to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Assist with VAT returns and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ensure financial transactions are recorded correctly and in line with company procedures.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Work closely with operational teams and stakeholders to provide financial guidance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Produce ad hoc reports and analysis to support business decision-making.
- Contribute to finance-related projects and system improvements as required.
