A well-established global organisation is looking to appoint a Management Accountant on a temporary basis to support their Finance Team during a period of maternity leave. This role offers the opportunity to join a collaborative finance function and gain exposure across a diverse and growing business.

    

You will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting forecasting activities and providing insight into business performance. Working closely with operational teams, you will help investigate variances, improve understanding of financial results and support effective decision making.

    

The Role:

This role would suit a proactive and adaptable finance professional who enjoys working with stakeholders and contributing to a busy, varied finance environment.

       

Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, cost centre reporting and variance analysis commentary for management.
  • Working closely with operational departments to investigate revenue and cost variances.
  • Developing an understanding of commercial and operational drivers to support accurate reporting.
  • Preparing monthly and rolling cash flow forecasts, alongside quarterly revenue and opex forecasts.
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring financial records are accurate and complete.
  • Monitoring the quality and flow of financial information from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting statutory audits and assisting with ad hoc accounting projects.
  • Ensuring month-end reporting deadlines are achieved.

        

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working within a Finance function in a similar role
  • A degree qualification and/or be part-qualified towards a professional accounting qualification.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to investigate issues and communicate findings clearly.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to build relationships across the wider business.
