Modular Project Manager - VR/32364

Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Aberdeen on a permanent staff basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of engineering and modular solutions projects across a range of sectors.

    

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initial planning through to execution and close-out, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.

          

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Managing projects through all phases including planning, execution, monitoring and completion.
  • Coordinating internal departments, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to ensure successful delivery.
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, resource plans and progress reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures, HSE regulations and industry standards.
  • Monitoring project performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies where required.
  • Leading project meetings and providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Managing project documentation, technical records and contractual information.
  • Supporting engineering, procurement and fabrication teams throughout project execution.
  • Managing change control processes and ensuring variations are effectively communicated.
  • Conducting site visits, workshop inspections and client meetings as required.
  • Driving continuous improvement and promoting efficient project delivery practices.

           

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a Project Manager role within engineering, fabrication, construction, modular solutions or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and delivery processes.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and contracts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project planning software such as MS Project or Primavera.

            

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within the energy, offshore, renewables or modular construction sectors.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as DNV, NORSOK or ABS.
  • Project Management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with fabrication, engineering design and construction workflows.
