Established freight and logistics provider supporting the energy sector with end-to-end supply chain and freight solutions. This permanent Multi-Modal Freight Forwarder position, based in Dyce, offers the opportunity to join a busy Operations Team handling international freight movements, customs activities and customer shipments across air, sea and road transport.

    

Join an established freight and logistics organisation specialising in global freight forwarding, customs compliance and specialist logistics solutions for the energy sector. Working within a busy Operations Team, you will coordinate import and export shipments, manage customs documentation and ensure consignments are moved safely, compliantly and efficiently to meet customer requirements.

Reporting to the Operations Manager on a day-to-day basis, this role offers exposure to a wide variety of freight movements and provides the opportunity to work closely with customers, suppliers and colleagues across the supply chain.

     

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate import and export freight movements across multiple transport modes.
  • Prepare and process customs declarations using CDS.
  • Undertake customs control checks and support customs compliance activities.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Ensure accurate and timely administration of shipment documentation and job files.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to customers and stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of freight quotations when required.
  • Resolve operational issues to minimise disruption to freight movements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant customs and freight forwarding procedures.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle.

         

Applicants to this Role Require:

  • Previous experience within freight forwarding and import/export operations.
  • Customs clearance experience, including preparation of CDS declaration.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Experience preparing freight quotations and using freight management systems would be beneficial.
