Support the delivery of accurate weekly and monthly payrolls by maintaining employee payroll records and processing key pay elements such as overtime, bonuses and statutory payments. You will help ensure payroll data is correctly recorded, assist with payroll accounting activities and respond to payroll-related queries across the organisation. This role suits someone who enjoys working with financial data, values accuracy and can contribute to a smooth and reliable payroll process.

   

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including new starters, leavers and contractual changes, ensuring all payroll data is accurate and up to date.
  • Supporting the processing of weekly and monthly payrolls by assisting with the preparation and input of payroll information.
  • Calculating and processing variable payments such as overtime, bonuses, allowances and holiday pay accruals.
  • Recording and administering statutory leave information within payroll records.
  • Process and maintain payroll-related benefits information, including pension scheme membership and salary sacrifice arrangements.
  • Assisting with the administration of overseas tax requirements where applicable.
  • Maintaining payroll data spreadsheets and ensure payroll information is accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Responding to payroll-related queries in a timely manner, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Supporting year-end payroll activities including preparation of statutory documentation.
  • Assisting with payroll accounting activities such as journal preparation and payroll recharge administration.

          

About You

  • Previous experience working in a busy payroll position.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence working with payroll data.
  • High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different teams.
  • Proactive, organised and able to take ownership of tasks while working under direction.
