An established organisation based south of Aberdeen is seeking 2 Payroll Administrators to join its busy head office team. The roles are responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll across a multi-site workforce, ensuring employee records, statutory payments and payroll data are maintained to a high standard. The successful candidate will support payroll reporting, reconciliations and compliance activities while providing a professional point of contact for payroll-related queries. Ideal applicants will be able to work from the office, have previous payroll experience, a strong understanding of PAYE legislation, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The roles can be considered on a full time basis or part time 3-4 days per week.

    

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll accurately and within strict deadlines.
  • Administer payroll changes including new starters, leavers and employee record updates.
  • Review and validate employee hours from both manual and electronic timesheets.
  • Process statutory payments and deductions in line with current legislation.
  • Complete payroll-related reconciliations, reporting and compliance activities.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and support year-end processes.
  • Respond to payroll queries and liaise with internal departments where required.
  • Provide general payroll administration support across a busy multi-site operation.

            

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a payroll administration position.
  • Strong understanding of PAYE, payroll legislation and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience of multi-site payroll processing would be advantageous.
