Payroll Analyst - VR/32489
A detail-focused payroll professional is required to support the accurate delivery of multiple payrolls within a busy, client-facing environment. The role involves end-to-end processing, compliance reporting, and acting as a key point of contact for payroll queries while ensuring all statutory obligations are met. This is an immediate opportunity offering varied payroll exposure and the potential for extension beyond the initial contract period.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process payrolls across weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles with a high degree of accuracy.
- Manage multiple payroll schedules, ensuring deadlines and individual requirements are consistently met.
- Prepare and submit Real-Time Information (RTI) returns in line with statutory obligations.
- Support year-end processes, including the production of relevant payroll documentation.
- Administer pension auto-enrolment, carrying out assessments and liaising with providers.
- Act as a key contact for payroll-related queries, providing clear and timely responses.
- Keep clients informed of changes to payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection standards.
- Process employee changes, including starters, leavers and amendments to personal or pay details.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in payroll procedures and systems, whilst keeping up to date with regulatory changes.
About You
- Solid experience in end-to-end payroll processing across multiple pay frequencies.
- Strong understanding of current payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Confident communicating with stakeholders and handling queries in a professional manner.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to continuous process improvements.
