Payroll Coordinator - VR/32425

Detail-oriented Payroll Co-ordinator required to join an established Payroll Team on a permanent basis. Working across both UK and international payrolls, you will play a key role in ensuring accuracy and adherence to payroll deadlines, whilst maintaining compliance with company policies and current legislation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking to develop their expertise within a busy, collaborative environment.

     

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process multiple UK and international payrolls, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Maintain payroll records and input payroll-related data, including tax codes, pensions, expenses and statutory deductions.
  • Review payroll audits, reports and absence records to ensure compliance with company policies and legislation.
  • Prepare payroll reports, payment files and supporting documentation for approval and processing.
  • Complete payroll reconciliations, finance postings and leaver documentation, including P45s.
  • Administer pension auto-enrolment and support year-round reporting requirements.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees, HR teams and external organisations.
  • Assist with payroll projects, system testing and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure payroll activities comply with current legislation, data protection requirements and company procedures.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, finance teams and external agencies.

      

Applicants to this role require:

  • Previous payroll experience, ideally gained within a high-volume or multi-payroll environment.
  • A payroll qualification would be advantageous, although practical payroll experience is considered more important.
  • Exposure to SAP Payroll would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Experience supporting payroll projects, system testing or process improvements would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance and data confidentiality requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across HR, Finance and external bodies.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and committed to continuous professional development.
