Project Specialist - VR/32920

Aberdeen-based contract opportunity for an experienced Project Specialist to support the development and execution of a UKCS project. Working closely with the Project Manager and discipline leads, you’ll take ownership of defined work packages and coordinate multidisciplinary inputs across project development activities.

     

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Progress assigned project work packages and coordinate the inputs required for their completion.
  • Coordinate Environmental Statement data requests and Draft Field Development Plan inputs.
  • Support topsides modification studies and subsea FEED activities.
  • Coordinate project interfaces across relevant disciplines and workstreams.
  • Track project deliverables, dependencies, actions and review comments through to completion.
  • Identify emerging risks, issues or delays and escalate where Project Manager input is required.
  • Support planning and readiness activities ahead of the Execute phase.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and discipline leads to maintain progress across assigned activities.
  • Ensure work packages are progressed within the established project governance structure.

      

Applicants to this role require:

  • Strong project experience within the UKCS oil and gas sector.
  • Experience supporting offshore projects through development, ideally including Define and Execute phases.
  • Previous involvement in FEED, field development, engineering studies or similar development-phase activities.
  • A strong understanding of multidisciplinary project delivery and engineering interfaces.
  • Demonstrable experience taking ownership of defined scopes or work packages and driving these through to completion.
  • Strong coordination, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify project risks, dependencies and potential delays and ensure these are addressed appropriately.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to independently progress assigned activities while working within an established project structure.
