Quality Advisor - VR/32650
A well-established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking a Quality Advisor to join their team. Operating from a modern manufacturing facility in Cove, Aberdeen, the company supports both traditional offshore energy markets and the growing renewables sector. Due to continued business growth, they are looking to appoint a Quality Advisor to join their Quality team on a permanent staff basis.
This is a varied role where you will support quality management and assurance activities across the business, working closely with production, engineering and project teams, as well as clients, suppliers and third-party stakeholders. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality management systems, driving continual improvement initiatives and supporting compliance with recognised industry standards.
As this position is based within an onsite manufacturing environment, hybrid working is not available, and the role will be fully office and site based. The working week is 37.5 hours, with the opportunity to finish earlier on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and develop quality management and assurance activities across the business.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality management systems and processes.
- Deliver internal and supplier audits and support third-party and client audits.
- Lead and support root cause investigations, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented and monitored.
- Assist with supplier evaluations and reviews to identify and mitigate quality-related risks.
- Support the development and delivery of quality-related training and awareness initiatives.
- Monitor, analyse and report on quality performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholders to promote sustained quality performance.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar quality-focused position.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 management system requirements.
- Experience developing and maintaining quality management systems.
- Strong experience conducting internal audits and supplier audits.
- Experience leading root cause investigations and applying root cause analysis methodologies.
- Experience supporting or participating in external audit activities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with databases.
