ROV Workshop Supervisor - VR/31564
We are currently looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor or Senior ROV Technician, who will be primarily responsible for servicing, repairing, maintenance, and continuous improvement of various ROV systems, manipulator types, tooling, sensor equipment and workshop facilities.
Key duties, and responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining operational workshop facilities for the mobilisation, demobilisation, refurbishment, maintenance, and repair of ROV systems, tooling, sensors and other equipment in accordance with workshop procedures and under the direction of the Workshop Manager.
- Ensuring all ROV equipment in base is maintained and compliant with all technical and project requirements.
- Managing and planning maintenance activities for ROV equipment.
- Performing pre/post deployment checks and QC audits for ROV equipment, in line with company processes.
- Using logical techniques to identify technical faults during maintenance, repairs and testing.
- Ensuring equipment repairs are carried out in a timely manner.
- Compiling and maintaining technical records, reports and logs using the IMS.
- Ensuring all inventory levels align with recommended requirements.
- Liaising with the Project Team to prepare for future operational requirements and assisting in project field mobilisations.
- Liaising with the Technical and Asset Team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of ROV equipment.
- Working closely with the Logistics Team to assist with the transport of equipment to/from projects.
- Supporting the Workshop Manager with supervision of other workshop technicians, offshore personnel and any third parties to safely and competently execute workshop activities.
- Supervising ROV Pilot Trainees aligned to the Trainee Programme.
- Operating the forklift truck and gantry crane.
- Assisting with workshop deliveries and driving duties.
- Deputising as Workshop Manager as required, ensuring all associated responsibilities this role entails are undertaken and executed safely and in accordance with processes and procedures.
Experience and Qualifications
- Exposure to “service company” culture.
- Working knowledge of ROVs and their capabilities.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Nationally recognised qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Passport.
- Overhead Gantry Crane certificate.
- Time served and industrial trained in either an electrical engineering, mechanical or hydraulic background.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
