A 3-month contract for a Senior Commercial Advisor supporting joint venture, business development and commercial activity across North Sea oil and gas operations. The role focuses on providing commercial input for asset agreements, oil and gas sales and infrastructure arrangements, working closely with technical and non-technical teams to develop and implement commercially sound solutions to operational and project-related matters. An immediate start is preferred.

    

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing commercial support for agreements relating to field assets, pipeline infrastructure and terminal operations.
  • Supporting joint venture management, including administration of JV contractual obligations.
  • Implementing and managing contract administrative obligations across operated and non-operated assets.
  • Working with operational and engineering teams to identify issues requiring commercial input and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Leading or supporting multi-discipline teams to develop and deliver commercially based strategies.
  • Developing commercial strategies informed by technical conditions and operational requirements.
  • Evaluating commercially viable options and considering stakeholder positions in solution development.
  • Leading engagement with joint venture partners and third parties on contract compliance and commercial matters.
  • Supporting the marketing and implementation of oil and gas sales agreements.
  • Providing commercial input to A&D and transition activity, including preparation of relevant data.
  • Supporting compliance with applicable commercial and infrastructure codes of practice.

           

About You:

  • Proven experience in a similar commercial role within the oil and gas sector, ideally with an Operator.
  • Strong understanding of joint venture arrangements, oil and gas agreements and commercial models.
  • Understanding of finance and economics relating to field operations.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capability.
  • Ability to engage with senior management and external stakeholders on commercially sensitive matters.
  • Experience working on both strategic and operational commercial issues.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, with the ability to develop practical solutions to complex issues.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
