Senior Cost Controller - VR/31576
A newly created role due to an increase in activity. You will play a critical role in supporting the Project Manager and advising on finance matters for assigned projects. Ideally, applicants will have experience working on large projects, are confident handling significant volumes of data, and highly proficient in Excel.
Overview job description:
Experienced in project cost control, you will be a key part of both the Finance and Project Teams to internally and externally report on financials for project work scopes. You will be responsible for tasks such as client invoicing, vendor invoice analysis and prepare monthly accruals/reports.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Providing precise long-term forecasts for projects and completing various budgeting tasks, including reviewing and implementing as-sold budgets.
- Critical role in period closing of projects, which involves project accruals, controlling project hours and costs, and revenue recognition.
- Creating detailed variance analyses to explain deviations between actual figures and forecast or budget.
- Collaborating closely with Budget Owners, regularly review commitments and critically assess forecasts.
- Calculating and planning the Position to Date (PTD/VOWD), Estimate To Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) for projects.
- Presenting the financial status of projects during monthly Project Management Review (PMR) meetings.
- As a Financial Advisor to Project Managers, you will provide valuable insights and guidance to ensure the financial success of projects.
