Senior GL Accountant - VR/32566
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior GL Accountant to join a well-established international organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. Based in Westhill, this role sits within a busy Finance Team and is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting across a portfolio of UK and overseas entities. Working closely with operational teams and shared service colleagues, you will oversee month-end and group reporting, maintain robust financial controls, and support continuous process improvement. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with international exposure.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting and general ledger activities for a portfolio of UK and international entities, ensuring financial information is accurate and up to date.
- Prepare month-end, quarter-end and group reporting, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met and financial controls are maintained.
- Build strong relationships with operational teams and provide financial support, insight and guidance across the business.
- Coordinate and support shared service colleagues, reviewing work, providing guidance and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Assist with statutory reporting, compliance requirements and internal control procedures, ensuring adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
- Contribute to the wider Finance Team by supporting continuous improvement initiatives and assisting with additional accounting activities as required.
