Senior Project Planner - VR/32388
Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Planner to join a major UK North Sea project on a PAYE contract basis until the end of the year initially. Working as part of the Project Controls Team, the successful candidate will support carry over work planning, completions and commissioning activities through to Ready for Start-Up for a high-profile FPSO project. This role will be integral in ensuring project schedules, commissioning activities and progress reporting are effectively coordinated and delivered.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Supporting commissioning and carry over work planning activities for the final project phase.
- Developing, coordinating and maintaining integrated project schedules.
- Working closely with Completions and Commissioning teams to ensure alignment across all disciplines.
- Ensuring project plans are logically linked and aligned with key project milestones.
- Supporting progress reporting, schedule analysis and progress measurement activities.
- Coordinating interface schedules, mini plans and baseline updates.
- Monitoring contractor progress and carrying out schedule verification activities.
- Supporting the use and integration of project completions systems including PIMS.
- Participating in progress meetings and supporting weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
- Collaborating closely with Engineering, Procurement, Contracts and Governance teams.
- Identifying and reporting project delays and risks where required.
Applicants to this role require
- Previous experience in a Senior Planner or Project Planner position within large-scale development projects.
- Recent experience working on UK North Sea projects is essential.
- Strong understanding of completions, commissioning and carry over work planning activities.
- Experience using Primavera P6 is essential.
- Experience with PIMS or similar project completions software would be advantageous.
- Strong schedule analysis, reporting and progress measurement experience.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Degree qualified or equivalent relevant industry experience preferred.
