As Senior Project Planner, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining and monitoring project schedules, ensuring project teams have accurate planning information to support successful project delivery.

  

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining detailed project plans and schedules across multiple projects.
  • Working closely with Project Managers, Engineering Teams and operational stakeholders to ensure plans reflect project priorities and resource requirements.
  • Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring project progress and updating schedules to reflect changes in scope, priorities and delivery dates.
  • Reviewing daily and weekly operational plans to identify scheduling conflicts, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Producing regular progress reports and schedule updates for project teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting effective resource planning and asset utilisation.
  • Identifying schedule risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Promoting continuous improvement in planning processes and project controls.

              

Applicants to this role require

  • Experience in a Project Planner or Planning role within engineering, energy or another technical industry.
  • Proficiency with planning software such as Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret project data and identify trends.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • The ability to identify scheduling constraints and proactively resolve potential issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to planning.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
