Senior Subcontracts Specialist (O&M) - VR/32324
This is a 12-month contract initially, supporting subcontracting activities across operational and maintenance scopes within a business specialising in asset management solutions for the energy sector. The role focuses on subcontract strategy, tendering, negotiation and contract management activities, working closely with operational, technical and supply chain stakeholders to support operational delivery, asset transitions and ongoing subcontractor performance management across onshore and offshore environments. Hybrid working available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing subcontract strategies and supporting subcontract planning activities across operational scopes.
- Preparing, issuing and managing Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages, including clarification management and commercial evaluations.
- Negotiating subcontract terms, amendments and commercial arrangements with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Drafting and managing subcontract documentation across a range of contractual arrangements.
- Supporting operational and asset transition activities, including development of transition subcontract strategies.
- Developing and maintaining subcontract templates and standard contractual documentation.
- Coordinating with technical, operational, legal, tax, insurance and compliance stakeholders on subcontract matters.
- Maintaining contract change records, approvals and associated governance documentation.
- Supporting subcontractor performance management and contributing to subcontractor management plans.
- Assisting in the management and resolution of contractual claims, disputes, variations and negotiations.
- Supporting procurement teams with contractual matters arising through supply chain activities.
- Ensuring subcontract activities are delivered in line with internal procedures and delegated authority requirements.
About You:
- Considerable experience in a senior subcontracts or contracts role within onshore and offshore operations and maintenance environments.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating a range of commercial and contractual agreements.
- Knowledge of contract types including service agreements, rental agreements, purchase agreements and confidentiality agreements.
- Proven negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience supporting subcontractor performance management and contractual issue resolution.
- Legal degree is advantageous.
