Currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer on a permanent staff basis for a leading civil engineering contractor based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. Based out of their head office in Westhill, Aberdeenshire, this role involve travel to sites across the UK.

     

The Site Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation of tenders.
  • Liaising with clients and statutory bodies.
  • Providing accurate information to line managers regarding progress.
  • Assisting with preparation and issue of job instructions. Ensuring toolbox talks are completed correctly.
  • Carrying out regular site visits.
  • Setting out site works.
  • Preparing as-built drawings as required by customers for awarded contracts.
  • Assisting the QHSE Systems Manager in delivering health and safety and promoting compliance throughout the company.
  • Assisting QHSE to assess risk and produce relevant RAMS as required.
  • Assisting the Contracts Manager with the requisition of materials as required.
  • Assisting the Quantity Surveyor to ensure that projects under your control are fully measured and valued, promptly and accurately.
  • Responsible for employee issues within the team and reporting to line manager for assistance when necessary.
  • Operating IMS.

         

Experience/Qualifications:

  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
  • SSSTS/SMSTS certification is essential.
  • CPCS Card is essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar Site Engineer role, directly within the civil engineering sector, is essential.
  • Applicants should have strong civil engineering experience, and will be expected to have held various roles, including setting out and site work supervision.
